Weekend Away

This past weekend some friends and I took a drive out to a holiday house in Pearly Beach. On Saturday we drove out to Cape Agulhas and Struisbaai. Just getting to Cape Agulhas was a bit of an adventure as we took a crazy back rout on a dirt road, almost ran out of petrol, and we had to turn back at a point due to flooding but in the end we managed to google map our way to Cape Agulhas. Iv never been before so its kind of cool to say I was at the tip of Africa.

What's Playing in the Studio

I haven't posted a 'What's Playing in the Studio' track for ages so I think this one is long overdue. 

I'm loving the new Arctic Monkeys at the moment. Such a great track

Saw this little ballet dancer on a wall today while running errands. Made me stop and smile.

You Weddings, Talented Entrepreneurs

A big thanks to You Weddings (Spring/Summer 2013) for including me in there Talented Entrepreneurs feature.

 

It was also such a nice surprise to see on of my clients weddings featured in the magazine. I made a custom ribbon brooches for Portia and Gershwin's wedding a while ago and its great to see it featured in the magazine (bottom left image).

Hello Pretty at SA Fashion Week

Hello Pretty is running their own pop-up shop at SA Fashion Week. Its on from the 29 August till the 1 September in Brooklyn Mall. 

You will be able to find a wide selection of items from various South African creatives. You will also be able to get your hands on some Bow Peep earrings or cufflinks!
