Behind the Scenes with The Dollie House

I recently won a Dollie House competition for a photo shoot and decided it would be the perfect opportunity to do another product shoot for Bow Peep. So this passed Saturday I met up with the Dolly House team at the Bow Peep workshop. I will share the finished product soon but in the meantime here are some behind the scene pictures.

Gift Jars

I have a festive season special: Bow Peep Gift Jars for R140. They include a pair of earrings, ring, a set of three mini bulldog clips and a button badge. Some new things

I have been promising to update the online store for ages and I'm finally getting around to uploading new stock. Today I added the cufflinks and mini clips to the online store.

Bow Tie shoot, The Dollie House

On Monday the amazingly talented due of Resh and Riz Dollie from The Dollie House helped me out with some pictures of my bow ties for my Kamers display. Resh Dollie is one of the most stylish people I know and when I was trying to think of someone who could model the bow ties he was the first person who came to mind. A huge thanks to Resh for modeling and Riz for taking the pictures and for helping out at such short notice.

Custom Cuff Links

I am expanding my range of guys products to include cuff links. People have been asking for them for ages and its been a mission to find the cuff link findings (the things that go at the back) but I finally managed to get my hands on some. I just collected them from the post office and got an email from a client asking if I made cuff links as she wanted some for the groomsmen for her wedding. This is the result...

These are a little bigger than the ones I am going to be making but its what suited the fabric my client had chosen. You will have to wait a bit till the cuff links go on sale, I am only going to start selling them at Kamers in October.

The new tote bags are available now at Babette Clothing along with loads of Bow Peep earrings, rings and alice-bands. 

 

Bow Peep silver collection

I have been doing a silver jewellery course for the past few month. I have mostly made jewellery for myself and for presents but I have been working on a little silver collection for Bow Peep. These are some silver button pendents I made. They are solid silver and have some weight to them so that they hang really nicely. They will be available at the City Bowl Fashion Market at the end of the month. But I only made 4 so email me if you would like one kept aside for you.

Hello Pretty

Hello Pretty is a brand new South African online store for high-quality designer goods. It was founded in Febuary 2012 but the online store was just recently launched.  I say no to a lot of online stores because they are started by very well meaning people but they don't seam to get their concepts right. Hello Pretty was created by website developers and it shows, the sight is easy to navigate, it has a simple and clean layout which makes shopping really easy for customers.

New products are being added on a daily basis so its definitely a website to bookmark and come back to regularly.

 

I'm really excited to see what features they add to the store in the future!

The Teeny Tiny Bow Tie

The Teeny Tiny Bow Tie is the smallest bow ties I have. Its a pre-tied bow tie and it comes in three colours. They are available from the Bow Peep online store.

Only R160 each. They fit all neck sizes.

The Oversized Bow Tie

The Oversized Bow Tie is the larges bow tie I have, they are also probably the coolest. They are R200 each and are available in a variety of high quality cottons. They are pre-tied bow ties and as they are adjustable they fit all neck sizes. They are available from the online store and a small selection is available from Cloak & Dagger.

L'Nell & Pieter's beautiful wedding

Last year I was asked to make some ribbon brooches for three bridesmaids to wear on their dresses. I finally remembered to ask the L'Nell for some pictures. 

Wow the wedding looked really beautiful!

New Product: Button Tote Bags

I have a new product! I love bags, I have too many so it was about time I had some Bow Peep button tote bags. I only have 19 at the moment, will see how they sell before I have more made.

They are lined in the inside. 

 They will be on sale at the You & Me & Everyone we know night market tomorrow evening and I am uploading them to the Bow Peep Facebook page, if you can't make it to the market and you would like one just leave your email address bellow the image on Facebook and I will post it to you. 

Postage is R26 and the bags are R140.

New ribbon brooches

Some new ribbon brooches which are now available on the online store. They look great on a coat in winter and would make great Mothers Day presents.

Other brooches are also available from Cloak & Dagger (opposite Cavendish Square in Cape Town).
