Rocking the Daisies 2012

This past weekend I went to my 6th Rocking the Daisies. The actual festival wasn't as well organised as previous years but I had a great time, I guess you can have a great time anywhere if you are partying with great friends. I took hardly any pictures and as you have noticed I never post pictures of my friends and I so here are some of what I took this weekend.

Hello Olive tote bags

A while ago I sent out a brief for designs for the Bow Peep Tote Bag Collaboration and I am really excited to share with your the designs I choose for the bags.

The first two designs were created by Colleen Invernizzi a graphic designer from Cape Town. Colleen has an amazing blog called Hello Olive and she is about to launch her own online store.
Keep a lookout for a tote bag competition on the Hello Olive blog!

I chose two of her designs for the bags. The one is of two very cute owls and the other is a simple but striking geometric pattern. They both come in a variety of colours. The bags are available from the Bow Peep online store and from Cloak & Dagger.

Artymiss

The one stall which I loved at Design Indaba was Artymiss.
I got a few of their little cards but I also really liked the larger paper cut out scenes.

Two birds with some stones

Two Birds with some Stones is a fantastic new Cape Town jewellery brand. It is run by Stacy and Jeanie who make everything by hand. The jewellery is creative and whimsical, I really love the 'suburb' necklaces. I'm looking forward to seeing what they make next.

Lola & Cash

I love Lola & Cash! Lola & Cash was started by Vikki in January of this year and all the jewellery is handmade in Cape Town. One of her rings was nominated for the Most Beautiful Object in South Africa at the 2011 Design Indaba.
I think the Pac-Man earrings are very cool!
Visit the Lola & Cash Etsy store and check out the Facebook page.

Toyboy Designs

I came across Toyboy Designs while looking threw A Fashion Friend. How rad are these Lego accessories?! I still have all my Lego from when I was little, I have donated most of my toys to a charity shop, I gave up my Barbies but I will never give up my Lego.
Toyboy is made in Johannesburg by Hendrik Smith.

All images are from the Toyboy website (which is also a very cool site!)

Images from The Constantia Gift Fair

Christine Watters came to visit me at the Constantia Gift Fair today, she came armed with her camera and took some amazing pictures for me. I am always amazed at how she manages to take such pretty pictures in such terrible light.
Thanks Chris, for the fantastic pictures. Visit her website for more images by Christine Watters.
